We hope that you are enjoying all the white stuff that has fallen from our Calgary skies lately. Remember to do some warm up exercises before you start shoveling to help you prevent any low back problems.

Headache pills can cause more pain
NEW YORK - Some headaches may be caused by the same medicine used to stop them, say headache specialists.
Dr. Fred Sheftell, an American expert on headaches, says some people may be suffering "rebound headaches."

Exercise: Is Quality or Quantity Better?
There is a long-standing debate as to whether the intensity or the duration of exercise is more important for good health. It's been shown that men who exercise at high intensity cut their risk for heart disease nearly in half, compared to sedentary men, yet similar risk reduction also applies to low-intensity exercise, and varying levels of energy expenditure.

Yoga enthusiasts pushing up injuries
BOSTON - The number of yoga injuries is on the rise with record numbers of people taking up the exercise in search of health and tranquility.
A 2002 survey by IDEA, an international fitness organization, says yoga has had its greatest rate of growth over the past seven years.
