"medical mistakes"

It was with interest that I read an article in the Calgary Herald in March on "medical mistakes". There was a two-day conference in Edmonton addressing this issue.

Estimates show between 44,000 and 100,000 patients a year die from medical errors in the United States. By extrapolation, this suggests between 4,000 and 10,000 deaths a year in Canada, according to Dr. Larry Ohlauser, registrar of the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons. He also said Alberta has to provide incentives to report errors rather than cover them up.

The reason I write this is for you to remember this the next time the medical profession attempts to discredit the chiropractic profession. What's that expression, " It's always better to clean up your own backyard first."
