The Fitness Philosophy

This is adapted from an article in the Calgary Herald on health care.

For many, the prospect of a visit to the medical doctor is less than appealing. The old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," is how a lot of people view their health care. This is also true in the chiropractic field. As in the medical field you shouldn't wait until an emergency situation to visit your chiropractor. As a patient comes in hurting, we often hear "I should have continued my treatments and this would not have happened!"

Be aware of the difference between preventive and preventative. Since preventative is the verb, this means you must take action. You must be an active Participant in your health care. One must realize that "health care" is not singularly medical care but rather a far larger spectrum of health care choices. Taking responsibility for your health is a behaviour one must assume if you wish to live a long and healthy life. Chiropractic should be included as one of health care choices.
