We hope everyone is having a great summer and had fun at the Stampede. In this month's newsletter there are some very interesting articles. One is on summer safety when you are out in the heat. Chiropractic Helps Race Horses
From the May 29, 2003 issues of the Daily Racing Forum and the Johnson County Sun, comes a story of how a top level race horse, "Ten Most Wanted" was helped by chiropractic. The story reports that the day after the Kentucky Derby, he had been bumped sharply leaving the gate, putting his back out of alignment. "He wouldn`t jog," his trainer, Wally Dollase, remembered. "He had displaced his back about a half an inch."

Back pain a reality for most Canadians, April survey indicates
These are words tens of thousands of Canadians have muttered after reaching for the phone or lifting a heavy box, only to experience a jolt of pain shooting through their backs. A poll released Wednesday indicates that almost two-thirds of Canadians experienced back pain in the past year, while more than seven in 10 withstood back pain of some degree over the last two years. "This is information that is even surprising to practitioners in the back-pain industry," said Dr. Greg Stewart, president of the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
