We hope that everyone is keeping well. Please note that the hours for the clinic during the festive holiday season will be:

Dec. 23 (Thursday) - 9am -1pm and 2pm - 6 pm
Dec. 24 (Friday) - 9am - 1pm
Dec. 25-27 (Saturday-Monday) - Closed
Dec. 28 - Dec. 30 (Tuesday- Thursday) - Normal Hours
Dec. 31 (Friday) - 9am - 1pm
Jan. 1-3 (Saturday-Monday) - Closed
Jan. 4 - (Tuesday) Return to Normal Hours

We would also like to welcome to the office our new massage therapist Leanne Sommerville. She will be here on Tuesday s, Thursday s, and Saturdays, so make sure to contact the front desk to make your appointment soon as she is booking up quickly.

Children Addicted to TV Run Higher Risk of Spinal Problems

An article in the November 8, 2004 edition of the "Daily Record" from Glasgow in the United Kingdom, reports on a study showing that children who watch TV for large amounts of time are more likely to suffer spinal problems and pain.

Chiropractic More Cost Effective Than Medical Care For Workers Compensation Cases

A study published in the September 2004 issue of the peer-reviewed scientific journal, "Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics" showed that chiropractic care was more cost effective than medical care for many workers compensation injuries.

The High Price of Migraines

If you've ever experienced a migraine, you know how debilitating they can be. Migraines are generally characterized by extreme pain and pressure, usually over one eye or concentrated on one side of the head, and sometimes accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light. An episode can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days, and render a person incapable of performing even the most simple daily tasks.

Women: Here's One More Reason To Exercise

Ladies, still can't think of a valid reason to exercise? How about warding off breast cancer, which will be diagnosed in an estimated 200,000 women in the U.S. in 2004 alone? Researchers examined over 170 postmenopausal women for one year and found that those who engaged in consistent, moderate physical activity experienced a significant decrease in specific female hormones.
